The Office of Safe Environment is responsible for educating all clergy, members of a religious order, parish and diocesan employees, including those who have no contact with children, young people, or vulnerable adults; and adult volunteers whose ministry or role places them in regular contact with children, young people, or vulnerable adults about the prevention of sexual abuse. The required Safe Environment training also teaches attendees how to recognize predatory behaviors, and review proper boundaries, and maintain a culture of awareness, knowledge, and vigilance for those entrusted in our care. All volunteers at Blessed Sacrament School must be certified in Safe Environment.
