If your child is is absent, please call the school office between 8:00 am and 2:15 pm to report your childâs absence from school. New York State law requires a written excuse upon the childâs return.
Children who arrive after 8:10 a.m. are considered tardy and must report to the Main Office upon arrival to obtain a classroom pass. Children are not marked âtardyâ for school bus transportation reasons.
A written request must be sent into school if a child needs to be dismissed earlier than 2:15 p.m., stating the childâs name, reason for early dismissal, date and time of dismissal, and the person picking up the student.
School districts may decide to close early due to inclement weather or emergency, and will send their district bus to Blessed Sacrament earlier than usual. Please give your child instructions on what to do in this event. On these rare occasions, it is best that your child know what to do. It is almost impossible for us to contact every parent.
