Student Activities

BASKETBALL: Basketball is offered to everyone in grades 4 through 6. Basketball forms are due in the beginning of October. Practices begin the first week of November. Games start the first weekend of December and last until late February, early March. The teams play different Catholic schools throughout the Diocese of Syracuse.

Little Eagles Basketball: Little Eagles Basketball is offered to our Kindergarten through third graders. Little Eagles takes place is the Blessed Sacrament Gym on Saturday mornings per the schedule that will be handed out.

Prayer Group: Offered to grades 3-6, this is a special time to become closer to God with prayer, song, and meditation in our school chapel.

Book Club: Students in grades 4,5,6 along with the Assistant Teen Librarian from Paine Branch Library, choose, read, and discuss a current juvenile novel.

Dance Program: Offered to students in grades TE-6. Students may participate in ballet, tap, or jazz through the Dance Works Program taught by long time instructor, Miss Debbie.

Drama: This is offered to students in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. Get involved in our award winning theatre program. Students learn to act, sing, and dance. A spectacular Spring performance will show case their hard work.

Lego/Robotics: This is offered to grades 4-6. Blessed Sacrament partners with Bishop Grimes Jr/Sr High students to design, build, and program robots to complete a series of tasks.

Science Explorers: Offered to grades 1-6. Science Explorers is an innovative, hands on Science program designed to engage students in the wonders of Science.

Big Brother Big Sister: A unique one to one mentoring program with Bishop Grimes Jr/Sr High students . The program consists of tutoring, homework assistance, and socialization.

Miori Martial Arts: Our unique method of instruction is unlike any other ….anywhere. Our system incorporates traditional Chinese and Japanese martial arts techniques, taught with today’s high standards. This will ensure that you learn the most effective, well-rounded, practical art of self-defense.

Cub Scouts: Offered to students in grades K-5. Cub Scouts is a family oriented, youth centered organization. They promote character development, citizenship, personal achievement, and spiritual growth.
